The IFLA President’s Meeting 2018 will take place on Monday, 19 March in the Sala Comillas at the Museu Marítim in Barcelona, Spain. IFLA has partnered with Diptutació de Barcelona and Federación Española de Sociedades de Archivística, Biblioteconomía, Documentación y Museística (FESABID) to host this special event.

About the Museu Marítim

The architectural complex of the Royal Shipyards of Barcelona, ​​home of the Museu Marítim is one of the most important industrial gothic monuments in the world and provides a fantastic and unique setting for the IFLA President’s Meeting 2018.

Among its spaces, there is the impressive Sala Marqués de Comillas, with 1,700 m², a spectacular and emblematic complex resulting from the enlargement of the gothic naves of the 17th century.  The newly restored Shipyards of the Drassanes form the central nucleus of the Royal Shipyards and is an incomparable space and the 450 m² Garden of the Museum complements the setting beautifully.
